Summary: The Tarot Baby is a small kit, but a step up from the Mini or Nano in this range from Vaporesso. Compact but with plenty of power and functionality, it's a convenient kit to have when you're Sub Ohm-ing on the go.

Vaporesso have a bunch of great ranges – two families in particular stand out, the Revenger line and the Tarot line. This time it’s the Tarot range that’s gained another family member in the form of the Tarot Baby. Sitting somewhere between the Tarot Mini and the Pro, it’s capable of up to 85 watts of output and packs a huge number of features into a compact little frame. The mod comes with the NRG SS tank, the same tank that comes with many of the Vaporesso mods and with good reason – it’s a great tank with high performance. The combination of this mod and tank makes a nice little package for Sub Ohm vapers.

The battery is an internal 2500mAh battery, which makes it great for taking on the go owing both to its compact size but also the fact that you needn’t worry about carrying spare batteries with you. It has pass through charging so you can keep using it while you’re charging which is a big plus as when you’re chain vaping on a higher wattage, the battery power will drop quite quickly. It can range between 5 and 85 watts, so if you want it to last a little longer it’s a good idea to combine with one of the higher resistance coils that need less power to stretch its use time between charging. As far as the features available, it carries as many options as you’d expect from a larger mod with replaceable batteries. From CCW, CCT, temperature control, Bypass mode and Super Player mode you can tinker on this mod to your heart’s content. The Super Player mode allows compatibility with coils as low as 0.03 Ohms and as high as 5 Ohms so direct to lung and mouth to lung vapers can enjoy this kit. It has a centred 510 connector but due to its more compact size you’ll probably want to stick to atomisers 24mm or smaller in diameter to avoid any overhang if you swap out the NRG tank. It also has modes for a number of wire types including stainless steel, nickel and titanium, so works nicely with RDAs too.

The build quality, as with all Vaporesso products, is excellent. The 0.96 inch screen is bright and easy to read and the buttons below the display make changing modes and settings simple too. The colours it comes in are pretty unique though and most are better suited to those who don’t prefer the more minimalist design of the Revenger family of mods. However, there is a plain black version of the Tarot Baby for those who just want a more discreet look. As always, the NRG tank and its coils are outstanding. The mesh coils provide a huge amount of flavour and vapour and the range of resistances available means you can find that suits your vaping style and wattage preferences easily. The only gripe with this kit is the battery life, as with any internal battery once you start vaping in the range of 45 watts plus, it drains very quickly so might be best for at home or a night out unless you can easily charge when you’re on the go. Other than that, it caters to a huge variety of vaping styles, fits easily in the hand and is the usual high standard you’d expect from vaping giant Vaporesso.
