Kanger Tech Subtank Nano Clearomizer Review
Summary: The Subtank range are high quality tanks and Nano is no different. The slimmer, compact tank still delivers an excellent vaping experience.
KangerTech is one of the leading brand names in the vaping equipment world and, like many of its rivals, the company is based in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, just to the north of Hong Kong. The company was founded in 2007, which makes it one of the longest established outfits in this burgeoning industry. The company manufactures and sells everything from clearomisers to replacement coils and from batteries to rebuildable atomisers.
The KangerTech Subtank Nano has a 3ml e-liquid capacity and is the smallest version of the Subtank range. Unlike its sister products, the Mini and the Plus, it is a straightforward clearomiser that does not offer the option of rebuildable atomisers. However, the off-the-shelf atomisers are of exceptional build quality, using only Japanese organic cotton for the wicks. The atomisers have a good lifespan, and once they do need changing, it’s simply a case of unscrewing the old one and fitting the new one.
The Subtank Nano comes with a Pyrex glass tank and two atomisers, one 0.5 ohm, giving a power range of 15 to 30 watts, and one of 1.2 ohms, giving a range of 12 to 25 watts. You also get two spare seal rings, a spare glass tank and an instruction manual.
The clearomiser has an advanced controllable airflow system so you can regulate the volume and heat of vapour as you puff. The clearomiser has a diameter of 18.5mm and is 47mm long without the drip tip, which is removable.
As it is a sub-ohm device, the Subtank Nano must be used with an advanced mod-type battery and KangerTech recommend that you use e-liquid with a maximum strength of 6mg to avoid an unpleasantly harsh vaping experience.
