Kanger Evod 2 Dual Bottom Coil Tank Review
Summary: The Kanger EVOD performs admirably for what is an older style tank. It's available in a range of colours.
Good Starter Tank
An update of the original Kanger Evod, the Evod 2 includes some significant improvements. Like the original, the new version features replaceable atomisers but the atomisers themselves have been updated. The old ones had protruding wicks but the new ones are sealed units and they are of the bottom dual coil (BDC) type. This means better, cleaner taste, more vapour and significantly longer life. Although the new atomisers cost more than the old ones, the increased lifespan actually makes them better value for money.
Another refinement with the Evod 2 is that the mouthpiece is stainless steel instead of polycarbonate and it’s detachable. That means you can replace it with any mouthpiece that has a 510 fitting, the most commonly used in the industry.
The Evod 2 has an e-liquid capacity of 1.6ml and comes with a fitting that’s compatible with both 510 and eGo batteries. You refill the tank, which is made of polycarbonate and is not replaceable, by turning it upside down and filling it from the bottom.
The Evod 2 clearomizer is available in black, stainless steel, purple, red, pink, yellow, green and blue. Replacement atomisers are available in resistances of 1.2, 1.6 and 1.8 ohms. The clearomiser comes with a 1.8 ohm atomiser fitted.
This clearomiser is one of the most inexpensive of its type. Other more expensive models have features like airflow control and replaceable Pyrex tanks, but if you’re looking for a model with consistentperformance and the basic essential features, this is a good option.
