Eleaf iStick 50W Box Mod Review
Summary: The Eleaf iStick 50W mod is a good all-rounder. It's not too big and fairly light weight. A good power range and works well with sub-ohm tanks.
This battery falls into the box mod or sub ohm category, a type of vaping that uses high powered batteries and low resistance atomisers. Theunit can operate at resistance levels as low as 0.2 ohms.
The package comes with the battery which is 510 compatible, an eGo threading connector, a USB cable and a wall adapter. There’s also a manual which is clear and easy to understand.
The battery itself is an attractively designed rectangular box, 83mm tall, 45mm wide and 23mm deep. It comes with a brushed steel finish in plain steel, black, blue or pink.
The iStick 50W has a huge capacity of 4400 mAh and three clicks on the power button transfers it from controllable voltage mode to adjustablewattage mode. An OLED on the front of the unit lets you know which mode you’re in and what levels you’re at. The battery can be adjusted to between 2 and 10 volts and 5 and 50 watts using the up and down arrows beside the OLED screen.
The battery has a side-mounted USB plug for charging and the clearomiser connector has a spring mechanism to ensure a good connection. A temperature alarm function switches the battery off if the operating temperature exceeds 70℃.
This is a well-constructed piece of kit that packs in a lot of features for the price. If you want to enter the world of sub ohm vaping, or you’re already in it and are looking for a robust, dependable battery, you won’t go far wrong with the Eleaf iStick 50W.
