Aspire ET-S Clearomizer Review
A relative newcomer to the world of vaping equipment, Aspire was founded in 2013 but has quickly succeeded in building a solid reputation for producing high-quality second-generation and advanced units, both clearomisers and batteries. The company makes its products in Shenzhen, the prosperous Chinese city renowned for its thriving high-tech manufacturing sector.
The ET-S BDC is a robust clearomiser with a pleasingly sleek design. Build quality is high with all componentsmade of either stainless steel or Pyrex glass. The glass tank is surrounded by a stainless steel sheath with two viewing panels so that you can monitor how much e-liquid you have left. The tank has a fairly typical capacity of 3ml of e-liquid and is filled from the bottom. Care should be taken not to allow e-liquid to get into the central tube when refilling. For optimum performance, it’s best to refill the tank well before the level sinks to the atomiser.
The clearomiser operates with a bottom dual coil atomiser, with the dual coil offering superior performance over the single version, with a higher volume of vapour produced. The package comes with two 1.8 ohm atomisers andreplacements are also availablein resistances of 1.6 and 2.1 ohms. The atomisers are easy to replace, they simply screw out of the unit, and you’ll find them for around £10 for a packet of five.
The stainless steel mouth piece is detachablefor cleaning although it’s not replaceable with alternative models as it has the central pillar of the unit built into it.
The unit is specifically designed for eGo type batteries although it will fit most 510 batteries as well. Some 510 batteries may need an adapter ring to work properly and you’ll need to purchase thisseparately.
